Meeting on pension proposals – Wednesday 4th July

Discussions over the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) have been ongoing since our fantastic strike in November 2011 forced the ConDem Coalition to offer new terms. After months of negotiations, the proposals for the LGPS from 2014 have been signed off by ministers for consultation. Details of the offer, and a calculator which illustrates the impact of the proposals on your future pension benefits are available on UNISON’s national website.

UNISON will be formally consulting you about these proposals in a postal ballot. In the run-up to the ballot, Hampshire UNISON has arranged an open meeting for members and non-members to hear what is being offered, ask questions and have their say on the proposals:

Wednesday 4 July at 6pm

Ashburton Hall in Elizabeth II Court

Hampshire County Council HQ, Winchester

Please tell your colleagues about the meeting. We look forward to seeing you there and hearing your views.
